Hyzon plans New Zealand FCEV trial in 2024

TR group Head Office in Auckland

New Zealand / Australia / USA – Hyzon Motors Inc, a manufacturer of hydrogen-powered commercial vehicles based in Rochester, New York, announced plans for a two-vehicle commercial trial with New Zealand’s largest truck operator, the TR Group, beginning in March 2024. Hyzon will power two FCEVs, fitted with its single-stack 200kW fuel cell system which will be deployed for three months in New Zealand. Once the trial is completed, the TR Group will have the option to buy these two vehicles. The assembly and fitment will take place at Hyzon’s facility in Melbourne, Australia.

Earlier this year, the company completed a six-month hydrogen-powered FCEV trial with the Seaboard Transport Group in Southern California. This marked the 15th North American commercial vehicle trial since the trial programme began in March 2022.
