Vicinity displays 28ft transit bus at APTA to announce presence in US market

USA / Canada - Vicinity Motor Corp (NASDAQ:VEV) of Aldergrove, British Columbia, Canada, was at APTA EXPO in October to highlight its progression towards building buses for the transit bus market within the United States at its recently opened purpose-built plant in Ferndale, Washington, USA.

At the show the company introduced the Vicinity Lightning, a 28-foot low-floor transit/shuttle bus, which it says has been designed from the ground up and priced to compete with ICE buses offering a capacity for up to 34 passengers. At the event, Vicinity announced the vehicle featured Lightning's onboard charging and in-floor LFP batteries and that the driveline had been developed with Exro Technologies Inc (a developer of new generation power electronics) based in Calgary, Alberta, Canada.
