India reports steady sales of LCV trucks in Q2/2023-24

India - Sales of LCV goods carrier vehicles (trucks) of gvw ≤ 7.5t remained steady in Q2 of FY 2023-24, rising just 0.5% to 140,991 units compared with 141,635 units in same period of FY 2022-23. Production of LCV goods carriers also flatlined at +0.1%, while exports fell by 27.7%.
The mini truck segment, GVW ≤ 2t, saw sales decline by 10.4% to 44,204 units in Q2 of FY2023-24, down from 49,358 units in Q2 of FY2022-23. Production decreased by 10.4% from 52,783 to 47,296, while export sales declined by 34.9%.
