Karsan delivers its first 18m electric articulated buses to Italy

Italy / Turkey – Turkish bus manufacturer, Karsan Otomotiv Sanayi ve Tic AŞ (“Karsan”) of Bursa, has delivered the first four of 24, 18-metre e-ATA buses to Italian public transport operator, TPER. These buses are set to operate in the city of Bologna. The contract was worth EUR 18.2 million. Karsan is expanding throughout Italy after a large order from Consip SpA.

Okan Baş, Karsan CEO, said that 18m e-ATA has become the city's first electric 18-metre bus and the first in this segment to feature pantograph technology.
