Tata Motors delivers first HFC low electric entry buses to India Oil

India - Tata Motors Ltd of Mumbai has delivered its first Hydrogen Fuel Cell powered (FCEV) buses to Indian Oil Corporation Ltd (IOCL), the largest petroleum company in the country, following winning a tender by IOCL in June 2021 for 15 FCEV buses.

The tender was placed as part of a research development project established to evaluate the potential of hydrogen-based Proton Exchange Membrane (PEM) fuel-cell technology in India. These buses were designed as a potential mass transport solution for intra-city and inter-city commuter operations.
