France / Finland – Last month at Solutrans 2023, hosted in Lyon, Finnish electric charging provider, Kempower OYJ, based in Lahti, Finland, discussed its new megawatt charging systems, designed to charge high-powered EVs such as electric HGV trucks. The high-powered 1 MW chargers are expected to go into series production in late 2024 and initially, will be rolled out in Finland and then later to other parts of Continental Europe.

This new charging solution has been built using Kempower’s own proprietary technology, including its liquid-cooled charging plug and two 600 kW Kempower power units, all developed in-house.
