Michelin to shut down production of tyres in Germany by 2025

France / Germany – The Michelin Group of Clermont-Ferrand, France has announced that it will close two tyre production sites in Germany, along with new and semi-finished tyre production lines at another site, by the end of 2025. 

The two sites set to close are the tyre plants located in Karlsruhe, Baden-Württemberg and Trier, Rhineland-Palatinate. New and semi-finished tyre production at Homburg, Saarland will also be shut down. These decisions will impact Michelin’s truck tyre production and will affect 1,532 employees.
