Chereau unveils SmarTrailer at Solutrans

France – Refrigerated trailer manufacturer Jean Chereau S.A.S of Ducey, France, has unveiled its SmarTrailer refrigerated semi-trailer at last month's Solutrans exhibition in Lyon. The company claims that its new range of trailers offer improvements in safety, durability, connectivity and sustainability, with energy savings of 21% when compared to previous generations. This has been achieved by integrating patented design features such as insulated panels. The new refrigeration unit is multi-energy on demand meaning, it can run on diesel, biodiesel, electric, solar or hydrogen. Safety features include safeloading-C anti-slip, Connect Box and KKS automatic hitch. The SmarTrailer offers increased connectivity by allowing the easy transfer of data to any telematics provider chosen by the customer. The SmarTrailer is scheduled to go into series production in Q1 2024.
