BMC announces re-entry into the European heavy truck market with the launch of its TUĞRA tractor unit at Solutrans

France / Turkey – Last month at Solutrans, hosted in Lyon, Turkish OEM, BMC Otomotiv Sanayi ve Ticaret A.S, which is headquartered in Istanbul, displayed its BMC TUĞRA tractor. The new model, which is to be built in Izmirand  available in the second half of 2024, has been designed to provide low fuel consumption at maximum engine power, so says the company.

The 4x2 tractor unit that was on display, is equipped with a FPT Cursor 11 ENT VI (Euro 6) six-cylinder 338 kW powered diesel engine, which offers a maximum torque of 2150 Nm and is matched with a ZF 12 TX 2210 TO automatic gearbox. The driver’s cabin is fitted with bunk beds, refrigerator, a 7-inch telematics display with Bluetooth and satellite navigation.
