Phillips Europe presents TPMS and solar panels for trailers at Solutrans 2023

France – At Solutrans 2023, held between 21-25 November at Eurexpo in Lyon, France, Phillips Europe, a subsidiary of American supplier Phillips Industries Inc based in Dobroń, Poland, showcased systems for tyre pressure monitoring and solar power generation specifically for semi-trailers.
The tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS) is developed in line with the requirements of the upcoming general safety regulation in the EU (July 2024). It connects to the trailer electronic braking system (EBS) modulator and broadcasts a standard (ISO11992-2/EBS23) CAN message to the tractor unit. The selling point of Phillips’ system is that operators can upgrade their entire trailer fleet in line with GSR2 without needing telematics hardware.
