Netherlands / BelgiumMilence BV, the Volvo-Daimler-Traton charging joint venture based in Amsterdam, has opened its first charging hub for heavy-duty vehicles at a truck park in Venlo, Netherlands.

The hub currently consists of four charging bays; early next year, Milence will double the capacity and add a roof structure to cover each bay. The four bays are served by two Combined Charging System (CCS) chargers, providing up to 400 kW of charging power. These will eventually be replaced by megawatt chargers as soon as the technology becomes available, Milence stated.
