Enel X and volytica collaboration
Italy / Germany / Mexico– e-Charging company, Enel X, based in Rome, Italy, has signed an agreement with volytica diagnostics GmbH*, based in Dresden, Germany, to collaborate on the development of a battery diagnostics system (BDS) to be used in electric buses. This real-time monitoring software should enhance battery performance and therefore improve the operational efficiency of the e-buses. Furthermore, the implementation of predictive maintenance features should help decrease vehicle downtime. The new BDS is set to debut in February 2024 in a range of 51 electric buses rolled out by the transport authority Metrobús, based in Mexico City.
