Outrider updates perception software for autonomous terminal tractors

USA – Outrider of Golden, Colorado has updated the perception software for its autonomous driving technology, allowing self-driving terminal tractors to see further and process more data than before.
‘Outrider System’, the autonomous driving software developed by the company, now features new and improved AI-driven perception technology. Terminal tractors fitted with the Outrider System will benefit from a 3x improvement in range and a 10x increase in sensor data capacity. Outrider says the improvements to its software have come from training by millions of data points collected from its customers.
