Hyundai electric buses available in Indonesia

Hyundai ELEC City battery powered bus

Indonesia / South Korea - Indonesian energy and mining conglomerate, PT Indika Energy Tbk, headquartered in Jakarta, has signed an agreement with South Korean automaker Hyundai Motor Company to distribute its Elec City battery-powered buses in the country.

Indika Energy is set to become the authorised distributor for the electric buses, targeting growing demand in Indonesia’s major cities for zero-emission public transport vehicles. The Elec City buses will be marketed from this year under the INVI brand, a subsidiary of Indika Energy. They will be available in two chassis formats, 8 metres and 12 metres, a range of up to 420 km and a charging time of less than 70 minutes.
