Scania India signs sales and service agreement with PPS Motors for heavy-duty tipper trucks

India / Sweden - Scania Commercial Vehicles India Pvt Ltd of Kolar, Karnataka State - a wholly owned subsidiary of Scania AB of Sodertalje, Sweden has signed an exclusive partnership agreement with automotive dealer principle, PPS Motors Pvt Ltd of Hyderabad, for sales and service of its heavy-duty tipper trucks and tractor units for mining applications across the country. The trucks arrive in CKD kit form from the HQ and factory in Sodertalje for assembly at Scania’s factory in Narasapura, Karnataka State, India. The tipper body is built and supplied by SSAB Swedish Steel (India) Pvt Ltd (a subsidiary of SSAB, Sweden) of Bengaluru.
PPS Motors has been appointed as the sole representative for Scania's mining tippers in India. The dealer principle has six regional warehouses across the country, close to the mining sites. The warehouses are also strategically connected to Scania's central warehouse in Nagpur, creating a robust hub-and-spoke model.
