Australia – The Commonwealth Development Bank (CBA) of Australia has agreed to an USD 80 million electric school bus finance package with Australian distributor GoZero, to fund the replacement of diesel school buses starting in Sydney. The initiative is part of Go Zero’s GreenSchools1000 program, which seeks to deploy 1000 electric school buses nationwide. According to GoZero, buses make up 0.5 per cent of Australia’s registered vehicles but are responsible for up to six per cent of air pollutants, producing 1.4 million tonnes of CO2 a year.
