Yutong TCe12 all-electric coach

UK / China – One of the world’s largest bus and coach operating and management companies, Flixmobility GmbH (brand name: Flix Bus) of Munich, has announced plans to trial an electric coach service in March, marking it the first electric coach service in England and Wales. From March 21 until the start of June 2024, travellers will be able to hop on the Yutong TCe12 all-electric 12m,18t gvw coach on a Flix Bus route between London, Bristol and Newport (South Wales). According to Flix Bus, the coach will save 352 kg of carbon emissions per day, when compared with a diesel equivalent.

Charging stations are located at the Transport UK London Bus (formerly known as Abellio) depot in Battersea, London and Newport Transport’s headquarters in South Wales. The facilities on the 46-seater bus include USB charging points, free wi-fi and a lavatory for customers.
