DTNA launches Electric Vehicle Dealer Certification Programme

Technician serviceing an e-truck

USA – This month, Daimler Truck North America LLC (DTNA) of Portland, Oregon (a subsidiary of Daimler Truck AG) announced it has rolled out its Electric Vehicle Dealer Certification Programme to service the heavy-duty Freightliner eCascadia’s and eM2’s that are currently on American roads.

Certification requires the necessary aftermarket services including maintenance and repairs, expert consulting services and replacement parts distribution. Furthermore, the centres require charging infrastructure with dedicated BEV serving bays. Not only does this necessitate infrastructure upgrades, but staff need upskilling to meet the requirements of BEV fleet maintenance.
