Oshkosh invests in UK-based battery management tech company

USA / UK – Oshkosh Corporation, the parent of several specialty truck brands based in Oshkosh, Wisconsin, USA, has invested an undisclosed sum in Eatron Technologies Ltd, a startup tech company specialising in battery management software for electric vehicles.
Eatron says that its battery management software is “AI-powered”; in other words, it employs algorithms based on physical models to assess the battery’s health and performance. It estimates the state of charge, state of health, state of energy, and state of power, and uses this information for cell balancing and detecting potential risks and faults. With its intelligent battery management software, Eatron claims that its OEM customers can provide predictive maintenance and replacement of EV batteries as well as optimised performance.
