Range Energy raises USD23.5m in venture capital

USA – Range Energy Inc, a developer of electrified semi-trailers based in Mountain View, California, has received USD23.5m in investor funding which will be used to finance customer pilot testing of its technology.
The money was raised in a funding round led by Trousdale Ventures of West Hollywood, California. Another Californian venture capital investor, UP.Partners, and a Chicago/New York-based firm called R7 took part in the funding round. Yamaha Motor Ventures, also a California-based firm (linked to the Japanese motorcycle manufacturer), contributed funds as well. Including its USD8m seed financing, Range Energy has raised USD31.5m to date.
