Thomas Built Buses delivers 1,000th electric school bus

Saf-T-Liner C2 Jouley delivered to Meriweather County School District, Georgia

USA – In March, Thomas Built Buses Inc, a subsidiary of Daimler Truck North America based in High Point, North Carolina, delivered its 1,000th battery electric school bus to the Meriweather County School District in the state of Georgia.

The 1,000th ‘Saf-T-Liner C2 Jouley’ electric vehicle was delivered as part of an order for 8 electric school buses, which were reportedly funded through the ‘Clean School Bus’ federal grant programme. These buses are intended to replace some of the district’s current fleet of 46 diesel buses. They will transport students to Manchester High and Greenville Middle High.
