Sweden / UKVolta Trucks AB, the erstwhile manufacturer of electric trucks based in Stockholm, Sweden which filed for bankruptcy back in October 2023, has announced that it is planning to make a “sustainable” comeback this year, under an altered name and business model.

The new company, called ‘Volta Commercial Vehicles Ltd’ and registered in London, UK, was resurrected at the end of last year by New York firm Luxor Capital Group LP. Relaunch of the business is now underway with a team of around 150 employees who are focusing on bringing the 16-tonne and 18-tonne battery electric truck models back to the European market.
