Bandvulc unveils new size of popular BD5 truck retread tyre

UK – Tyre re-tread company, Bandvulc Tyres Ltd, a UK-based subsidiary of Continental AG of Hanover, Germany, has unveiled the new 315/80 fitment of its popular BD5 truck tyre retread. The BD5 was initially debuted at the 2022 Road Transport Expo, replacing its predecessor, the BD08 in the Fleetmaster range. Bandvulc claims that the BD5 returns a 40% increase in lifetime mileage compared to the BD08. Engineered for long-haul operators, the BD5 utilises a specifically formulated tread and rubber compound, with a bespoke directional tyre tread pattern that delivers the aforementioned durability. Designed to handle the wet UK roads, every BD5 is certified 3PMSF.
