Mahle and Forvia sell off Behr-Hella joint venture in climate controls

Germany – Components manufacturers Mahle GmbH of Stuttgart, Baden-Württemberg, Germany and Forvia SE of Nanterre, France have concluded a sale of their respective stakes in the Behr-Hella Thermocontrol (BHTC) joint venture AUO Corporation, an electronics company based in Hsinchu, Taiwan.

BHTC was formed by subsidiary companies of Mahle and Forvia: Mahle’s ‘Behr’ brand, specialising in air conditioning and engine cooling; and electronics firm Hella, now part of Forvia following its merger with Faurecia. Based in Lippstadt, North Rhine-Westphalia, BHTC makes climate control panels for car and CV OEMs, including Daimler, Volvo, Paccar, and Traton.
