Germany – The e-mobility division of Siemens AG of Munich, Bavaria has expanded its EV charging portfolio with the launch of the 400kW DC SICHARGE D fast charger for the electric HGV market. The charger allows for up to four vehicles to be charged simultaneously using only one grid connection, optimising space and delivering financing savings for Charge Point Operators (CPOs). Furthermore, Siemens offers installation and aftermarket/maintenance contracts. The company designed the charger with easy cabling in mind, making its use as intuitive as possible and therefore as convenient as possible for EV drivers.

Simens says it has been winning significant contracts of late, see below details of two. As the EU mandates the electrification of the transport industry, Siemens will be looking to capitalise on new legislation mandating all EU member countries to have a minimum number of electric chargers every 150km on highways.
