Giti Tire launches new truck tyre for Europe

Singapore / Germany – Global tyre manufacturer, Giti Tire Pte. Ltd of Singapore, through its subsidiary, GITI Tire Germany GmbH, of Hanover, Germany has made the European launch of its new GDL617 Ecoroad truck tyre, launched in size 315/70R22.5. Based on the Giti GDL617, the company announced that the Ecoroad truck tyre has superior rolling resistance, retreadability, improved fuel economy and higher mileage capabilities based on a new tread compound and a tweaked tread pattern. These factors give the tyre a B rating for rolling resistance. Giti confirmed that more sizes are expected to be added to the range, with the initial size aimed at long-haul operators pulling semi-trailers.
Product development took place at Giti Tire’s European Research & Development Centre in Hanover, Germany, with robust construction and compound technology developed for extreme stiffness. High wet grip properties are confirmed by the three-peak mountain snowflake (3PMSF) symbol.
