Webasto increases battery capacity from 35 to 40 kWh per pack

The Standard Battery Pro 40 by Webasto

Germany – Webasto SE of Stockdorf, Bavaria has announced that it is increasing the capacity of its battery packs for commercial electric vehicles from 35 kWh to 40, providing more energy in the same amount of space.

Webasto’s new traction battery, the ‘Standard Battery Pro 40’, is a compact system measuring 960x687x302 mm and weighing 297 kg. With 18 packs, Webasto can supply 720 kWh in 400 or 800 V systems. The pack is housed in aluminium and incorporates the company’s own thermal management system.
