Phillips launches rearview trailer camera with mobile phone connectivity

USA – Phillips Industries Inc of Santa Fe Springs, California has launched a new rearview trailer camera which is designed for easy installation and connectivity via WiFi.
The ‘Rear-Vu Backup Camera’ is a small unit which mounts onto the back of the trailer with two bolts or rivets over the rear centre marker light. It hooks up directly into the existing trailer harness with .180 connectors, and Phillips claims it will work with any trailer make, including standard, offset swing, and roll door configurations. The camera has a 170-degree viewing angle, providing clear visibility of the bumpers and doors and over 50 feet of range behind the trailer. It also doubles up as a rear marker light.
