UK bus & coach market saw massive growth led by minibuses in Q1 2024

UK – The UK bus and coach market grew by 74.6% in the first quarter of 2024 to 1,690 registrations, according to statistics published by the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders (SMMT).
The market was led by the minibus segment, which more than doubled in size compared to the first quarter of 2023. Registrations increased by 118.8% to 851, reflecting the continued recovery of the sector since the lifting of pandemic restrictions. Single- and double-deck bus and coach registrations also grew in the first quarter, rising by 33.6% and 70% respectively: single-decks registrations were 533 and double-deck registrations were 306.
