Tata Motors opens advanced spare parts warehouse for commercial vehicles in Guwahati

India – Truck and bus builder, Tata Motors Ltd of Mumbai, has inaugurated a vehicle spare parts warehouse in Guwahati, the largest city in the Indian state of Assam, extending to 100,000 (1 lakh) sq. ft. The facility is fully digitally controlled and is equipped with advanced storage systems, including gravity spiral and vertical reciprocating conveyors. The company states it can stock spare parts for Tata's entire commercial vehicle portfolio, and that within this new advanced warehouse storage and delivery system, it expects to vastly improve CV parts availability and to provide faster turnarounds from order to delivery in the Northeast of the country.
