USA / UK  – At this past Advanced Clean Technology Exhibition (ACT Expo) in Las Vegas last month, BP Pulse, the EV charging brand owned and operated by British multinational oil and gas company, BP plc, based in London UK, and American electric charging manufacturer EV Connect, El Segundo, California, announced a fleet management partnership. BP Pulse will integrate its proprietary charging software (Omega) into EV Connect chargers to more efficiently manage duty cycles, charging times and energy management requirements which, in theory, should minimise vehicle charging times and reduce costs. Furthermore, Omega tracks historical charging data and energy prices giving fleet operators a better sense of the costs associated with recharging. Engineers have successfully integrated Omega with EV Connect chargers as well as the financial transactions software embedded into the charging infrastructure. This fleet offering will be offered to North American customers later this year.
