SwedenScania AB, a subsidiary of the Traton Group based in Södertälje, Sweden, has established a new company, called ‘Erinion’, which will set up and manage depot charging infrastructure for electric trucks, starting in selected European markets.

The new charging services company will, according to Scania’s own description, “[specialise] in private and semi-public charging solutions”. Believing that depot and destination charging will be more important than public charging stations to both short- and long-distance trucking, Erinion will offer installation, operational services, and support to fleets looking to charge their trucks at base.
