Daimler Truck NA renews battery supply agreements with Proterra

USADaimler Truck North America LLC (DTNA) of Portland, Oregon has contracted ‘Proterra Powered’ – now owned by the Volvo Group – to supply batteries for electric school buses and delivery trucks produced by DTNA’s subsidiaries, renewing the partnerships it had with the erstwhile Proterra Inc.1

Proterra batteries will continue to be supplied to two vehicle ranges built by DTNA brands: the ‘Saf-T-Liner C2 Jouley’ school bus by Thomas Built Buses Inc of High Point, North Carolina; and the ‘MT50e’ chassis for last mile applications (such as step vans) by Freightliner Custom Chassis Corporation (FCCC) of Gaffney, South Carolina.
