Daimler Truck NA renews battery supply agreements with Proterra

USA – Daimler Truck North America LLC (DTNA) of Portland, Oregon has contracted ‘Proterra Powered’ – now owned by the Volvo Group – to supply batteries for electric school buses and delivery trucks produced by DTNA’s subsidiaries, renewing the partnerships it had with the erstwhile Proterra Inc.¹

Proterra batteries will continue to be supplied to two vehicle ranges built by DTNA brands: the ‘Saf-T-Liner C2 Jouley’ school bus by Thomas Built Buses Inc of High Point, North Carolina; and the ‘MT50e’ chassis for last mile applications (such as step vans) by Freightliner Custom Chassis Corporation (FCCC) of Gaffney, South Carolina.
