USA / Finland – Finnish electric charging provider, Kempower OYJ, based in Lahti, Finland, has officially opened its new production facility in Durham, North Carolina, USA. This is Kempower’s second factory but the first in North America with the primary facility in Lahti, Finland. This expansion will further help Kempower to service the North American market with its Kempower C- and S-Series range of electric chargers.

The company recently received Electrical Testing Laboratories (ETL) certification from global total quality assurance provider, Intertek Testing Laboratories (a subsidiary of the London-based Intertek Group plc), allowing for production to begin. The ETL marking is a certified indicator that these products have been tested by Intertek and found to be in compliance with accepted national standards. This allows Kempower to enter the American market with locally-made electric vehicle charging equipment. The company is now preparing for a raft of orders in 2024.
