France / Estonia – Skeleton Technologies OÜ, a supercapacitor firm based in Tallinn, Estonia announced in May that it would invest EUR600m in R&D and manufacturing in France over the next five years.
In the first phase, Skeleton will establish a research and development facility in Toulouse in the fourth quarter of this year. In Toulouse it will carry out work on its so-called ‘SuperBattery’, a high-power battery which “bridges the gap between supercapacitors and batteries”, offering high capacity and energy intensity, faster charging and expanded charge and discharge cycles.
