Iveco Bus and VIA deepen collaboration with new projects

Italy / USA – Iveco Bus, the subsidiary of the Iveco Group of Turin, Italy has announced it has signed two new two Memorandums of Understanding (MoU) with VIA Transportation Inc, a global logistics and transit tech company headquartered in New York, USA. The first MoU refers to the project with Politecnico di Milano University in Milan, aiming at implementing a new on-demand transport solution for students and staff. The second project is very similar, just with hospital staff at the Humanitas University Hospital in Milan.  

The initial collaboration was first announced in at the 2023 New Mobility Exhibition, in Milan to explore the potential of integrating Via’s on-board demand transport transit tech software into Iveco buses. This highly digitalised mobility ecosystem software, allows customers to use data to plan efficient and equitable transportation networks, including both on-demand and fixed-route.
