Busworld Turkey 2024: Accelera displays latest NMC battery pack – BMC the first customer in Europe

Turkey / USA – Accelera by Cummins, the zero-emissions business segment of Cummins Inc of Columbus, Indiana, USA, used Busworld Turkey 2024 to display its latest nickel manganese cobalt (NMC) high-energy-density battery pack, the BP97E.

Perhaps the significance of this latest battery power pack is borne out by the fact that in early May, Cummins Inc announced that it had signed a Letter of Intent (LoI) for Accelera to supply BMC Otomotiv, a manufacturer of buses and trucks in Izmir with power for its transit buses. Cummins said that this is the first time the BP97E battery pack would be used in operation in Europe.
