DAF commemorates 75 years of truck production with special edition XG+

DAF 75 years of truck production

Netherlands – To commemorate 75 years of truck production, Dutch truck manufacturer, DAF Trucks NV of Eindhoven, has launched a limited edition XG+, painted in a silver metallic colour with black and yellow details to mark the anniversary. The truck is equipped with a PACCAR MX-13 engine with either 480hp or 530hp and a full aero kit which includes side skirts, a fender and deflectors. Furthermore, the truck offers safety features such as the DAF Digital Vision System and Corner Eye digital cameras which provide good driving visibility.

The vehicle is equipped with its fleet management software (Paccar Connect) as standard (for 10 years), accessed through a detachable tablet in the cab and on any smart device remotely. The platform allows for easy integration with third-party software. This software provides operators with valuable fleet data relating to vehicle performance, fuel consumption, driver behaviour and GPS/logistical data helping operators run fleets more efficiently. Other features include geofencing, which notifies the destination (home base) when the vehicle is nearing its final destination. Furthermore, the software creates reports that can be sent via email to various operational departments, detailing the data of a particular vehicle and/or fleet.
