Volvo 9700 and 9900 coaches with Sunsundegui bodies to be discontinued

Sweden / Spain – Volvo Bus Corporation of Gothenburg, Sweden has confirmed that production of the ‘9700’ and ‘9900’ coach ranges – which are made in partnership with coachbuilder Sunsundegui SA of Alsasua, Spain – has been discontinued indefinitely.
Media reports which originated in an article1 published by Bussmagasinet on 4 July were corroborated by an announcement on Sunsundegui’s website. The Spanish coachbuilder said that it would keep up its “current workload” and maintain its commercial relationship with Volvo.
