Goodyear launches tyre subscription as a service in Europe and the USA

USA / BelgiumGoodyear Operations SA of Diegem, Belgium (the EMEA division of Goodyear Corporation) has launched its tyre-as-a-service business model for last-mile delivery fleets in the U.S. and Europe. This package includes premium tyres, its Tyre Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS), connectivity services and servicing & maintenance in one subscription-based package. The aim is to attract a new set of customers with the allure of saving them time (improving vehicle uptime) and improve the TCO of the tyres by decreasing fuel consumption. Goodyear claims that in tyre-as-a-service pilot projects, the company managed to reduce 80% of emergency vehicle breakdown events and, a 4% reduction in fuel consumption.
