Mercedes-Benz Special Trucks Zetros range to be offered with a bulletproof cab

Germany – Mercedes-Benz Special Trucks (owned by the Mercedes-Benz Group AG of Stuttgart, Baden-Württemberg) announced that its Zetros off-road range will be offered with a protected bulletproof cab (supplied by Rheinmetall). Manufactured at the Wörth truck plant, the three-axle, all-wheel-drive Zetros (6x6) is now available as an armoured vehicle. The two-axle 4x4 to the four-axle 8x8 as an armoured vehicle will be offered from 2025.

The Zetros range is equipped with the OM 460 six-cylinder diesel engine with up to 375 kW / 510 hp and a maximum torque of up to 2,300 Nm. The vehicles feature a 16-speed gearbox or Allison automatic torque converter. The total weight varies between 16.5 and 40 tonnes, With a gross combination weight of up to 120 tonnes as a tractor unit.
