VW delivers 1,000th truck to Dominican Republic

VWCO's 1,000th truck delivery to the Dominican Republic

Dominican Republic / Brazil - Volkswagen Caminhões e Ônibus Ltda (VWCO) of Resende, Rio de Janeiro, is celebrating the export of its thousandth truck to the Dominican Republic. The vehicle, a Constellation 31.320 6x4, was acquired by agricultural transportation and logistics company, Cooproharina through Avelino Abreu SAS, VWCO's importer in the country, and will operate in the cooperative's logistics operation.

The Dominican Republic is the second largest country in the Caribbean with an area of 48,442 square kilometers and its economy is based on tourism, mining and agriculture. Given the average growth of 4.9% per year over the last half century, the country has become the seventh largest economy in Latin America, surpassing Ecuador and Venezuela.
