Brazil / Italy - FPT Industrial, a subsidiary of the Iveco Group based in Turin, is to advocate for the use of its natural gas engine in public transportation vehicles at Lat.Bus/Transpúblico 2024. The event is scheduled from August 6 to 8 at São Paulo Expo, Brazil. Represented by its Brazilian subsidiary located at the Iveco Latin America headquarters and manufacturing facility in Sete Lagoas, Minas Gerais State, Brazil, FPT Industrial will highlight its N60 CNG engine for buses.

The N60 CNG engine* (more than 90,000 units sold worldwide), is part of the proven NEF engine range (more than 2-million-unit sales worldwide and used in over 1,800 different applications), offers a reduction in fuel consumption of up to 40% when compared with a diesel engine. In addition, it emits up to 90% less nitrogen dioxide (NO2) and up to 10% less carbon dioxide (CO2) when fuelled with natural gas. Using biomethane, CO2 emissions can be reduced by up to 95%, FPT states.
