MAN receives order for 181 battery electric buses from Belgian operator

Belgium MAN Truck & Bus SE, a subsidiary of the Traton Group based in Munich, Bavaria, Germany, has received a further order for 181 ‘Lion’s City E’ buses from privately-owned bus operator Hansea, based in Antwerp, Belgium.

The order comprises a mixture of 10- and 12-metre city buses and 18-metre articulated buses running on battery electric drivelines. Upon their delivery – which will be in stages in 2024 and 2025 – the buses will be contracted for use by public transport providers throughout the Flemish Region.
