USA / UK  – BP Pulse, the EV charging brand owned and operated by British multinational oil and gas company, BP plc, based in London UK, has announced an agreement with U.S. shopping mall company Simon Property Group, to run “gigahubs” at 75 of its sites across the U.S. This will require the installation and running of more than 900 EV charging bays, primarily for passenger EVs and electric delivery vans. The company is looking into the feasibility of implementing megawatt chargers in the delivery bays of these properties to service electric delivery trucks. BP Pulse is already involved in charging infrastructure for road haulage in Europe: This year it acquired the 21-acre Ashford International truck stop in Kent with plans to electrify the site with twenty-megawatt chargers in Q1 2026.
