Mack refreshes medium-duty truck range with new cab and ADAS

Updated Mack MD cab

USAMack Trucks Inc, a subsidiary of the Volvo Group based in Greensboro, North Carolina, has launched an update its ‘MD’ series with a new cab and advanced driver assistance (ADAS) features.

Both the diesel and battery electric variants of the MD series will now come with a new cab, which is four inches longer than in the previous model. Mack says the extra length will give the driver more seat recline and leg room. Moreover, the interior of the cab has been overhauled in emulation of the on-highway ‘Anthem’ tractor cab, with more overhead storage, satin aluminium trim, improved seating with lumbar support, and more LED lighting. The steering wheel is slightly different, with new toggles for cruise control, telephone, and audio functions.
