GM integrates BrightDrop e-vans under its Chevrolet brand

Chevrolet BrightDrop 400

USA – General Motors Corporation has integrated its electric-van brand (BrightDrop Inc based in Palo Alto, California) into its Chevrolet brand. This strategic move, announced in August 2024, aims to leverage Chevrolet's extensive dealership and service network to enhance sales and accessibility of these electric vans. The BrightDrop Zevo 400 and Zevo 600 models have been rebranded as the Chevrolet BrightDrop 400 and 600, respectively. The vehicles are produced at GM’s CAMI Assembly plant in Ontario, Canada.

According to GM, this transition is part of its broader strategy to streamline operations and reduce costs by consolidating its electric vehicle offerings under established brands. By utilising Chevrolet's existing infrastructure, GM aims to make its electric commercial vehicles more competitive in the market.
