Lamilux to present new product offerings at IAA

Germany – At the upcoming IAA Transportation event in September in Hannover, Germany, composites manufacturer, Lamilux Composites GmbH*, based in Rehau, Bavaria, will unveil its new high-tech composites for the Commercial Vehicle industry, including “Lamilux Sunsation”, a gelcoat technology with 20 times better UV resistance than the gelcoats currently available on the market, according to the company. This product took years to develop and the technology, which is patented, was developed in-house in Germany. The Sunsation gelcoat is applied directly during the production process.
This gelcoat has been designed for external applications, initially tried and tested in the caravan industry and now transferred to the CV industry. There was a focus on lightweight construction, robustness and of course function for use in high-damage environments. This will increase the value retention of the vehicle by lowering the repair and maintenance costs.
