Shyft Group subsidiary launches production of battery electric Isuzu N-Series truck

USAThe Shyft Group Inc of Novi, Michigan has announced the production launch of Isuzu’s latest medium-duty battery electric truck, at the site of its subsidiary Builtmore Contract Manufacturing in Charlotte, Michigan.

Japanese manufacturer Isuzu’s latest N-Series truck, the ‘NRR-EV’, will be delivered to customers from this month onwards. It has a gross vehicle weight rating of 19,500 lbs and a maximum payload of 12,951 lbs. The electric motor delivers 150 kW of peak power and maximum torque of 280 lb-ft. Customers have multiple wheelbase and battery options: up to nine batteries can be installed onto a 176-inch wheelbase, providing 180 kWh of storage capacity and up to 235 miles of range.
