First fully electric low-floor minibus with Perrone self-driving deployed on public roads in Ohio

Minibus with Perrone self-driving technology in Youngstown, Ohio

USA – Local news media reported in August that the world’s first fully electric, low-floor Class 2 minibus with autonomous driving technology has entered service on public roads in Youngstown, Ohio.

The modified van, which was reportedly paid for with a USD600,000 grant, can carry up to eight passengers and three wheelchair occupants, who access the vehicle via the dual-sliding bus door on the side. A manual folding ramp provides wheelchair access.
